Investment prospects in Europe provide new opportunities for the automotive manufacturing industry

North American investment advisory project and silver sponsor of the AMS Global Conference 2007, Euratlantic, will contribute to the debate concerning the future of car manufacturing in Europe on the 2-3 October in Dearborn, Michigan. Specialists, Hugues Naudet, chargé d' affaires for Invest in Western France and Jean-Claude Germain, Director of Industrial Relations Affairs of PSA Peugeot Citroen and Chairman of Premium Cars Competitiveness Cluster (Western France regions) will explain the role that French, Portuguese and Spanish regions could play in the automotive manufacturing sector.

Schneider Electric expands the Modicon line of programmable controllers with the addition of Modicon® M340™

PALATINE, Ill. — June 1, 2007 — Schneider Electric today announced the release of the Telemecanique® brand Modicon® M340™ programmable automation controller (PAC), the newest addition to the Modicon line of PACs.The Modicon line began in 1968 with the introduction of the first ever programmable logic controller (PLC), capable of real-time logic solving. It continues today with the Modicon M340 PAC, a platform that not only offers real-time logic solving, but also communication, motion, and database and manipulation capabilities in multiple programming environments.
